The Latin word for heart is Cor. The Core is a young adult Bible fellowship at Sunrise Baptist Church. This class was started to meet the believer's needs, and what the believer need is spiritual heart surgery. As opposed to meeting the felt needs and external issues that exist, the core focuses on the heart. Jesus taught that what makes a man is what is in his heart-Hebrews 4:12-13 teaches us that the Word of God penetrates the heart and lays it open. As we read, study, and apply God's Word, it will change us from the inside out; then all external matter of life will fall in line.
